When we got this boat, I didn't even know that these things existed. But I like to ASK and LEARN so I can SHARE.
I'm not 100% sure what the official name is but in this video, I'll attempt to show what it is and what it's for.
We had to cut our anchor bridle. A friend of mine got too close and got my anchor chain locked between his propeller and rudder. So in order to release the tension of the chain, we cut the bridle. Some people call it an anchor snubber or just a snubber.
