What do you think about a 1991 Hatteras 40DC
I have a good friend here in Pascagoula who wants to move up from his 34 Mainship is looking for a 40 something boat and asked me what I thought about this 1991 40DC.

I'm prejudiced and for the way we boat, I would not look anywhere but a 43 DC or MY and told him that, but I would like to better answer his question on the 40DC.

What do you all think about this boat or other options?

The 40DC is a great boat and suprisingly good sea boat. The 1990 and up models are nicest. About a 17 kt cruise @ 2400 and 28 GPH with 375 or 425 Cats. I have seen that boat and it is very, very nice.

Just from the pictures the boat does look very good. Thanks for the first hand observation. I passed it on along with my thought the 40 draws almost a foot more than the 43. The water can get thin around here, and I think like Bill.
