Attached are two pictures of some kind of supports that extend horizontally out from each side of the top of my half tower and are about a foot long. Can anyone tell me what they are for? Karl

Swing sets for the kids?

Waterski tow rope?

A very short outrigger? ;)

Use to see them on some tower boats but there were 2 on each side , one spaced over the other and them a cable was pulled between them and you could fly your US Flag and your Port of Call Flag from them

Below those (or above) about 2 or 3 feet, do you have a pad eye or a small pulley? If so, they're there to run a line in a loop, and fly flags from them.

To fly the Martini flag for Happy hour!!!!

So you can fly Marlin, Sail, or other catch flags so you can brag on the way to the dock in tournament fishing.

Pipewelders Tower? Lace a Glass Eye to the half tower tube below them and string halyards for flags. That's what they're there for.....Thx.

I have them on my 32 sportfish and could mot figure them out either untill I went on a charter and saw that the Captain had run a small line to the outrigger and used the line to raise the outriggers from the tower. I don't know if this is what they were placed there for but they work well for that purpose.

Thanks for the suggestions. My boat happens to be a 32' Hatt also. I thought they might be there for flags, but there is nothing to tie them to below those pipes.

Considering other innocos suggestions made, I will add mine and that would be, from which to hang undesireable guests by their thumbs.

they are flag halyards

For incredibly small and ineffective flopper stoppers?

They are the attach point for your model sailboat lifting tackle.
