Hi,
what exactly do these things do?
they are screwed in on one side, the other side is or was held in place with I guess 5200
They are lose on the aft side, the forward side is held in place with some screws
Do I need to remove and rebed?
I'm able to move the aft side downward appox 1/8" or so

My guess is they are there to create a disturbance so the thru hulls dont suck air. Buts thats just my guess

those 5 holes go to some exhaust tube out the stern. But it's separate from main exhaust
Someone mentioned when they saw it , it was for anti-cavitation?
They sit right about the props

I belive he said the through hulls lead to the exause. It is probley there to releave pressure so it wont calvotate. I have seen worse. My props have holes in them to releave pressure when backing down. fix it back and forget its there

They were supposed to give some lift by using the exhaust.

so kinda underwater exaust

hmmm, exhaust port is about 6-10" over towards the outboard sides from these things
there is a 12" opening under the hull which T's off the one that goes out the stern which is about 4-5" in dia. Most of the noise / exhaust goes out the bottom there. I get just a few dribbles of water from the stern tubes
I'll look and see if there is some cross piece that goes from the main exhaust to those 5 through-hulls

Actually, looking at older pics, the main exhasust is a lot further away. more like 2 foot or so.
these 5 through hulls on each side exit right about my trim tabs

They're there to help prevent cavitation. I have them on my 65. The thru hull exhaust should be further forward and more outboard
