What a Bunch of Users...

Just happened to glance at the HOF metrics on the user base. Man, I didn't realize that there were that many members- over 9,200! The record (all time?) on-line was 105, set of all days on this morning at 8:30am (18 Jun, 2009) ; probably included me!

What a site!

No doubt HOF is a great site, but the only problem with that 9,200 number is it includes spammers who have signed up using their spybots. The number of active users includes guests (spybots included again), so it really doesn't mean much as to there being a rhyme or reason for the high number.

Short of taking the time to go through the membership list, I wonder how many Hatteras owners (or boat owners period) there are on this site.

Like most sites, only a few are truely active.

We have about 180 with over 100 posts and 450 with over 20.

That leaves about 9000 who are new, lurking or spybotting.

Web sites bill per hit. Can you bill the spybotters? (lol sort of...)..
