Wet carpet in a 54 Convertible

Recently purchased a 2006 54 Convertible so am still learning the systems. Have had issues with the AC units but nothing major. Biggest issue right now is a wet carpet. Initially at the bottom of the companionway steps and now into the portside master near the head. Just prior to this I topped off /(over filled) the freshwater tank. And the royal flush toilets werent flushing because the holding tank was full. (since pumped it out). The carpet is saturated with clean freshwater btw. Anyone experience this?

I don't know the 54c, but AC condensate drains would be my 1st guess. If you don't know where each of them drain, your going to need to know. Start with your master, check the carpet near the return duct? Then access the air handler and see if the pan is full. I vacuum my drain hoses quarterly.

Agree on the A/C knowledge! Had that problem/solution also.

On my 53’ MY I’ve also overfilled with same results, soaking carpets!
Try to see the top of tanks direct read gauges, may be leaking due to overfill.
Sam’s explained it most likely a water tank vent line leaking!

I had some (mild) drama in my master stateroom with the connectors between the scuppers in the aft deck and the hoses that redirected them overboard. What appeared to be very typical plumbing fittings had corroded and caused some leaks (only after heavy rains).
Once the cabinetry was broken down a bit they were very easy to service.

Though I would bet more money on the AC condensate catch tray over flowing.
