Wesmar vs Naiad ? (I have been good and already read all the posts re Wesmar :) )

So, I have quotes from each.

I've read that Wesmar (in the past) had radio interference issues, and Naiad is/was the "gold standard" - and (currently) Wesmar has new tech that puts it ahead of the game vs Naiad.

So, if you were to do it TODAY - which would you choose?
(Pretend they are within $15k - installed - of each other.)


And, BTW, my thanks to you all for humoring me with my millions of questions these past few weeks...

I had Naiads for 20 years. Just upgraded them to the Wesmar digital controls and I couldn't be happier. There was no issue with interference at all. I installed the "gyro box" in the center of the flybridge doghouse. I have the control panel in the overhead console of the pilothouse, right next to my Icom radio. No issues. The main junction box is in the generator room with wires running to the control valves and fin position sensors.
During install, I had a couple of questions and was directed to an engineer who answered all of them. I still have his cell phone and was told to call him if I ever need anything else.

You might also consider that Wesmar also offers thrusters that can be run off of their same hydraulic pump and tank.

Don’t overlook ABT Trac. I Ve had them on two boats I ve run over the last 8 years (84 and 116) and put them on my 53 as well.

I just rebuilt my Niads. Over 40 years old, every part is still available, including data panels with the correct serial numbers. I doubt if you could get that from any other manufacturer. I will admit that Wesmar and ABT Trac are are great brands also .
