Hi Jasper
Her name is ( WE111 ) the same as my other one stands for wife daughter and me. We added a small +1 at the end daughter married.
I have a lot more to do replacing all the ac units,Recessing the microwave and many more little things. The biggest challeng has been desipering 12 24 volt wiring. We have riped out all the electronics and replaced with garman 5212. Cleaned up the dash nothing but stop and start there now. All new tv suround sound new dvd new sat tv KVH. (unhappy with KVH all the local chanels are HD i purchased the unit no body ask and i did not realize that the unit i purchased the #5 would not receive HD. I can not watch the ball games now local collages or receive local news and weather. I ask would they exchange yes was the answer with a 10000 dallar check.
Every one has been complaining about West Marine. The very best prices i could get were beat by west marine or matched they have a new policy provide other prices they will deat or meet.
I will post the finished picks in about 2 weeks

Yes Jim they are Slane vents I live about 50 miles fron Slane i drove there and picked them up in my truck and put them in. They are bigger than they look approximately about 10 to 11 feet long.
When we brought the boat home from west Pam we ran the ocean and if you raise the engine hatch the amount or air through the hatch was tremendous and we could feel the air flow. We open the outside hatch and the small amount of hase went away. I talked to Tom Slane he said the openings at the stern was not enough air intake and the suction from the engines would back suck sut into the engine room and cause multiple problems. After installing the vents we took it for a ride at cruse speed we opened the hatch to the engine room there was no suction.
Based on my experience the Slane vents cured the smoke hase and suction problem. Tom had some math numbers which were over my head plus i paid no attention at the time. Showing the factory size holes and amount of air flow and adding his vent the changed amount of cfm.

His vents are very well-designed, like all parts they make. They flow a LOT more air and look good, too.

Glad you are getting some boating in. Didn't you buy a set of 3406s, too, for this boat for a repower, or am I confusing you with someone else? Sorry if I am.

Better hurry tIM, duck season is just around the corner.

You are correct i have a pair of 3406 cats and fully expect to put them in the boat. However i purchased the engines befor I got the boat another was in play and did not work out it was a 53c.

This boat has less than 70 hours on each engine so i beleive i will run them a while. They are performing well at this time.
The cats are on stanby they were a grate deal so i got them. with the entent to put them in the 53 I had gone as far as talking to Tom about the deal we were just comparing notes waiting for the 53 to come out of foreclosure. Tim

Nope, I'm still alive and kicking. Good talking to you last night.
