Hatteras Model
43' DOUBLE CABIN (1970 - 1984)
My friends just signed papers for a 58'YF in Ft Lauderdale this week... They sold their house earlier and are staying in an apt. for the time being... I'll be going down with them first part of Jan. to bring it back to Jacksonville. (NO Randy, you cannot come with us).
Couldn't believe how little they paid for it... But he always has managed to make super deals on anything he buys...

Make sure they become HOFers.

Welcome,

As a 58YF owner, I think they made a great choice. Hope to see them on the forum soon.

Above is a recent pic of our boat in Trinidad. Work not quite finished on her but we will get there. Would love to see some pics of your 58YF

I don't blame you for not wanting a REAL Captain onboard the boat with you there Charlie. Besides, the "going down with them" part sorta scares me a little.

Man !! those YF's are great looking rides. I would love to have one. Maybe after I get used to this 43' I will trade up.

Alan, your hull paint looks great. Did you have it done? Please share a pic of the transom. I was thinking about a Navy blue hull some day.

Thank you for the compliment. I will get some additional pics of the boat and post for you to see.

Yesterday was survey/seatrial day and all went well. A few minor items but nothing to stop the sale. Looks like Jan 6th is the date for the "endless storey" to head to its new home. Tom/Vickie have yet to come up with a new name.

Only 58YF owner that I know who wants to sell, is because he wants to pick up a 70'. Well why not...who wouldn't want to?! That YF is at Keenan's in Grand Haven.

I was captain on a 58 YF back in the early 1980's. The previous owner had installed two small teak blocks on the floor of the cockpit in each aft corner, and had two small holes in the gunwhale directly above them. He had two fiberglass poles about the thickness of a light fishing pole, about eight feet long that mounted through the holes and into blocks, so they stuck up high enough to be visible from the flybridge helm. When backing into a slip these poles were visible so you knew where the transom was located!! I used them each time backing into a slip until I was used to the size of the boat.

Its now 100% official.... Tom and Vicky signed all the papers yesterday so now own the boat out rightful
