  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I recently purchased the Titled vessel and reading through the owners manual, it indicates there are 2 fresh water tanks on this boat. I can only find one filler on the starboard side, on the cockpit coaming.

Can anyone advise as to where the 2nd tank filler is or does one overflow to the other? I can see one tank in the lazzerette that is fed by the mentioned filler. There is also a tank under the master stateroom bed. I assume that is the 2nd tank but again, I'm not sure where it is filled from?

Thanks.

Tim

Both tanks are manifolded together. There is only one fill.

The 53'YF is a rare but attractive boat. Is that the 53 that has been for sale in Grand Haven, MI for the past several years?

The boat is in California in the San Joaquin river delta area. (San Francisco bay)

Welcome, Timm.

Check the forum regularly as I want to keep track of who is on from the West Coast. Was the previous owner a member as well?

Give me a shout if you come down to the bay...

Dan,

I'm not sure if the previous owner was a member or not. Not a very knowledgeably owner, that's for sure. Boat sat unused for 5 years and I'm paying the price for his neglect.

did the boat have the name 'pasatiempo' in a past life?
just curious. i saw her a few years ago in alameda.

Yes, that was her name.

Dan, FWIW there are two of us with 53 MY's at Napa. I believe Tim's boat was at Vallejo for a while back in '04 on the same dock as mine.
