Before reinventing the wheel thought I'd ask here first. My centerline water tank leaks somewhere around 7/8ths full. I did once repair the top of the tank where I guess the baffles attach inside, this cured a couple of major leaks. I have looked for the source but am pretty sure it's on the port side just below where the tank is foamed against the stringer and this I think would mean cutting an access hole in the top, Joy!
Anyone been through this?

Would it be easier just not to fill it up all the way? My water tank leaks a little around the gauge. I just don't fill it to the top.

I had a leak on the top of my keel fuel tank that I could not locate. After many attempts I gave the problem to my yard to fix. They plugged up all connections and pumped air into it. They sprayed soapy water around and looked for the bubbles. It was impossible to see with the naked eye. They were tiny pin holes. They repaired it using glass cloth and epoxy resin. Just a suggestion you might try.

Good suggestion, but be sure the pressure is very low. For some leaks, the reverse works well. We located the leaks in the hard top using a vacuum cleaner to provide reduced pressure in the laminate and listening for the sound of air being sucked in.
