  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
67' COCKPIT MY (1987 - 1995)
On a 89 67’ CPMY where is the waste tank located? Is there gauge? I’ve looked in galley and main hallway where the other tanks are located but don’t seem to see it. Gonna jump in generator room to see if down there.

Mine sits directly on the keel under the galley. My 20kW generator is just forward of the aft bulkhead in the generator room and the tank access is behind the generator just immediately in front of the aft bulkhead. No gauge, just a vacuum line that trips the three-quarter full light.

What Sadey said is on the original drawings of my 67CMY. BUT in reality that thank is an empty fuel tank on mine. Pen and ink changes to the drawings show that they used the farthest forward tank which is under the FWD generator (just aft of the forward generator bulkhead). The waste pumpout connection is on the stbd side for this tank next to the fill port for said empty forward fuel tank. Biggest hassle is the head and vent hose connection access is under the forward generator. There’s one really easy way to tell which tank is which on your boat…

Our boat was built and sent directly to a ship headed for Greece. The original owners had the waste tank plumbed as an extra fuel tank. Once back in the states the second owner converted it back to a waste tank.

I don’t believe that I have a tank under the fwd genny. At least did not notice one while down generator room. I also only have one deck fill on the stbd side. It’s labeled waste and is just forward of the stbd pilot house door.

It’s there. Climb behind the gen and you should see an access cover. You could follow the pump out line from deck plate to the tank, the vent line to the tank or the overboard discharge line in the hull if still installed. My overboard discharge and mid state head go through the same thru-hull. Mine is located to the left of the big gen under an access plate if you are facing the stern of the boat.
