  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' CONVERTBLE-Series I (1964 - 1971)
The lower helm of my 41C was left intact when the boat was repowered, and I like the original look, even if the guages are non-operational at this point.

Two of the temp guages were replaced with black guages at some point, and I'd like to find some of the aqua/green faced guages to fill those spots.

They don't have to work, and at this point, I don't really care which guages I find (i.e. temp, pressure, etc.) as not many will see the difference at first glance.

Any leads would be appreciated.

Thanks,

-Ed G.

Don't know if this will help, but there used to be outfits on the West coast that would rebuild old (not vintage, but true antique) gauges, for Chris Craft etc. They had special tooling for disassembly, rebuild, reassembly and you would not know they cracked the case.

Try searching for Chris Craft sites on the web and they may point you to a vintage gauge supplier. Poor help, my post, this time...

When I re-instrument my 36C this spring I'll have a pair of ammeters if you want them. I'm reasonably certain they're non-functional, and quite certain they're beat. They've lived their whole life on the bridge w/o protection, but if nobody else comes up with anything better for you shoot me a PM and they're yours.

They were made by Stewart Warner. Every so often I see them on e bay.
The guy who rebuilds Chris Craft gauges is Pat Powell. He used to work for SW. I believe he only does the CC gauges. He was put out when I asked him to repair some AC gauges. his # 847 455 4918.

I had new vintage guages custom made by www.classicinstruments.com for an antique yacht I owned several years ago. They will do new stuff that looks just like the old original, all brand new and working. They were great to work with. They offer an array of different style pointers and even domed glass. Custom colors are no problem. Highly recommended.

i have some guages from my 1967 34c. next time i think about them i will pull them out and let you know what i have.
