Or a new one and still be less than fixing this one.
What a waste. I hope no one was lost in the accident.
What a shame. Can't imagine how the captain and or owner felt during that ordeal. Hopefully no one was seriously hurt or worse. Amazed she stayed afloat and didn't sink completely. There was a 45c that had an extensive refit with the same name from the Gulf. Wonder if it's the same owner.
And what would be wrong with trying to understand why it went down?
And what was the idle speculation that set you off? Trying to understand the cockpit layout? A convertible I had was wide open under the hatch. The transom etc. were all accessible. I watched an owner drive his boat up on a sand bar instead of into a waiting sling on the other side of the creek. I am not saying this was a case of that sort. I am asking if the boat could have been saved by stuffing rags into the opening etc..
Why am I thinking the hole might be accessible from the inside and there was a potential to save it? I know I wasn't there and all but are there live wells or something in the way that would keep someone away from that breach?

Re: want a cheap 54?
Serial boat killer?
And you accept this one? As if to say the owner knocked off a couple of fine boats?
I know people that think they can fix a leak of this sort with Flex Tape.
And by the way if someone can't get a laugh out of some of the comments they probably need to get over themself and start enjoying life.
My comment was in jest. I did not accuse the owner of doing it on purpose and I did previously post my concern for those on board.
The title and most of the replys we're in good humor.
