  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' MOTOR YACHT-Series I (1977 - 1980)
We have 8V92TI-t1 in a 58 MY. Has anyone has an issue with the Walker Fuelseps. Recently was heading out.. Engines started right up, ran ok for a while. Port engine began to run rough, then died. Checked all the usual items, Racors and low vacuum, but changed over to second new filter.
Changed the secondary just because. I have an manual bleed pump, and as long as I kept pumping, the engine would run. Anyway, after chasing down a bunch of things, everything pointed to an obstruction.. By the way, I have just replaced all the fuel lines, new fuel pump.
I decided to start bypassing things, I took the Fuelsep out of the loop.
Engine fired right up and ran great. It appears to me there was a blockage in the Fuelsep..
have anyone ever seen this. I thought these things were just a passthru.

Interesting and following....... I believe that's what I have too. Two "discs" with no wires or maintenance. Just a "thing" the fuel passes through that wards off evil spirits....

More likely an air leak. Depending on location of vacuum gauge, blockage would send the vacuum to the red.

I think there is a magnet in those. There must be a way to open them up to clean them. Or maybe you just replace them when they plug up. I don't have them so not exactly sure.
