Well, As some of you know I pulled the Seamonsters out of my 34 and have been shopping for a pair of 454's. I found a pair in Californina that were pulled a few years ago and have been sitting in the back of a shop. I end up purchasing them for $3,000 and $800 for shipping. They showed up late last week and I was worse than a kid at Christmas. I was at the boat yard in the dark flashlight and crowbar in hand. I popped the tops off the crates to find them cleaner than expected. Today, my mechanic called and said listen to this... VVVVVRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRUMMMMMMMM!!!!!!!!!!
He said they fire right up and only needed new exaust manifolds. I had assumend this from the begining. This was great news and I am even more excited about getting the ER and fuel systems ready for my "new" engines.
