  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
I keep my 53 in South Florida and have for many years used Perfection Plus
Maintenance coat once a year keeps it looking good
Howeve Perfection plus is discontinued
I only want to varnish once a year as I live in UK and don’t have a lot of time
Don’t like Bristol What should l look at

Awlwood, if you're willing to spend the money and take the trouble. It's very durable.

Any catalyzed urethane clear. Even low level products like transtar and or Deltron will have tremendous flexibility to accommodate woods movement. If your doing rails and the like I doubt you’d need any retarder, it wouldn’t set up faster than you’d be brushing. Clears don’t tend to attack underlying coats. Deltron DCU2021 is one example

Awlspar followed by Awlbrite topcoat.

Awlbrite right over existing varnish. Multiple coats per day then wet sand smooth and put a "glamour" coat over it ........................Pat
