We are going to Rhode Island on the 4th , On my last trip I finished up 8 years of neglect. We add her name on the bow . "Lady Lynn " We splashed in June 10th . Some minor shaft leaks they did stop after two days. Both motors fire on two. One Two, boom. I was very surprised . I was a nervous wreck when the boat was in the sling move to the water, I couldn't watch . I don't know why it bothered me , I have nerves of steel It may have been all that dam creeking noises.
The genny fired right up also, But I need to replace the impeller. I now have vast knowledge on Heat exchangers & most of what I knew going in was from you guys. They really are very simple. I rebuilt the starboard he the Gasket set was 129.00 . It took me a good three day to get it off. Four bolts 3 days? the whole process involves six bolts. Two need to be backed out Just to get on the top two. I was like handling six cinder blocks about half the size of a milk crate. I am very happy that whole thing is behind me.
I have become a hynatuic steering expert. I bled the system alone & that was a daunting task. It's a long way from the bridge to the butt of the boat. I got the best work out I have had years.
We are replacing the carpet , dose anyone have a carpet guy in the rhode island area they can recommend. Our trip to bring her home will be late summer. We may even make the hattie party.
We got real lucky & have a great boat. This boat has already transformed . Not much more to bring her up to snuff.
