Upcoming Opportunities

Alright guys, I'm going to be looking for some more face to face opportunities with members of similar sound mind!

I'm going to be in Orlando at the Shot Show in January, I'll post exact dates later, just a little early warning to those who may wish to evacuate. Ya'll can't get in unless you contact me in advance and become a temporary employee of Southern Security International, LLC. It won't pay nuthin' but there's "french" benefits.

Speaking of "french" benefits, I'm booked for the Miami Boat show in February and will be there on February 14 to the following Sunday or Monday (not sure when I'm leaving out yet). Yeah Pascal, the 'bird will be back in town again! Either hoist anchor and come join me, or run like hell. Either way, say hey to Naomi for me. She can come solo if she wants to.

Oh yeah, Ed and/or Ang, captned, Mario ya'll can come too! I still owe Ed a drink, but that doesn't mean he can't wear it if he wants to start another bar fight! :D BTW Ed, the smiley face means I'm just kidding. You are more than welcome to drink that drink if you want to.

Now then, whether you're with me or agin' me, come one come all. Who's ready to admit they have an interest? Comradery or comrowdyly, I go both ways! No rainbow tendencies though!!!

I'll gladly do the shot show with you. How big is the shot glass?

Was
that
a
one
liner?

In the interest of seriousness, the Shot Show is a big invitation only type dealer sporting goods show with guns and sporting goods and gun safes and such. It gives me a chance to eyeball the folks I do business with, and it also gives them the chance to wine and dine me!

The shot show (no caps) is the everybody welcome bar where we go after the Shot Show is over.

You'd be welcomed either place.

It was a two liner.
I forgot to stack'm.

Seriously, I know what the shot show is. I would certainly enjoy going. Shoot, pun intended, I might even sell a safe for you.

Where and when is the shot show in Orlando. Can we bring our own toys? Maybe a chance to met up.

Did an on-line search, January 11-14 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando. I'll be staying with my brother in Winter Haven for a few days while I attend the show. After that?????

Would love to meet you before, during, or after the show! I don't think they will let you in with any of your own toys, but they might let you leave with some of theirs!

Let me know if you would like to attend. I can make it happen.

Now for a question for anybody else, when is Superbowl Sunday?

I have a friend (The official southern redheaded stepchild of Apopka) also in Orlando who would probably like to do this too. Also Steve H. and crew. Lets get this set up. FYI if you like there are some nice places to play balistic golf in the area if you like. Boating is also an option. I am one dock east of Steve H in Canaveral. Lets meet up. Cyber space is OK but meeting Hatt owners in person is what its all about.

Superbowl is Feb. 4, 2007.

And certainly, I would like to attend.

Cyber space is only a means to an end. Glad to hear I am not the only one who feels like you do as to "what it's all about"!

To you and any other member who wants to attend the Shot Show, send me a PM with your phone number. I will see how many free tickets I can muster, but I'm a force to be reckoned with in the gun safe industry. I think I can come up with as many as I need.

As for activites during this time frame, boating is always best, especially with new friends. I don't golf, but I'm up for anything that would get as many of us as possible together at the same time and place. I've been told I have the basic talent for taking up golf as I can knock a ball long and straight at a driving range. Maybe someday I'll give it a shot, but I'm afraid it would interfere with my boating addiction!

I'll keep ya'll posted, ya'll do the same. Sounds like another good time in the making!

Dang, now I've got to go find myself a calender to see if that is the Sunday before the Miami show! If so, I can make good on another opportunity to spend some more face to face time with another member "friend" who has extended an invitation to participate in something I don't feel at liberty to discuss. He knows who he is, and if he wants to talk about it, he can make it public. Otherwise, na na na na na na I gotta secret!!!

The previous post applies to you for sure there Wild Bill! Yee ha, guns, alcohol, rednecks, Hatt owners......all under one roof! Can it get any better than that?

Randy FYI ballistic golf is nothing like you are thinking. I usuall use a 9mm driver and a .22 putter.

I have got to try that!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Forgive me, I'm from the country and live a sheltered life!

Now playing with guns is something I can definitely relate to! You guys will have to enlighten me as to the finer points of "ballistic" golf. 9mm's and .22's are something I can muster on a moment's notice! Sounds more interesting than cow pasture pool.

Randy, Randy, Randy,
The reason my boat has a pick up box on the back is so I can shoot trap offshore. It ain't easy hitting a moving target while you are moving up and down. I gotta admit, I've never tried ballistic golf, but I'm gonna. Just as soon as our comrad in arms tells me how.

I'm glad you clarified that.

We have a similar sport where we shoot empty beer bottles off the tops of mailboxes at 55 mph. Some do it at higher speeds, but we are law abiding rednecks. That's why my camper shell has a spring loaded pop-up panel.

You ever try skeet surfing?

I tried it once, but the surfers got mad and called the cops. They whined that the bean bags hurt.

Just goes to show some people will complain about anything. Ya'll must have been doing it wrong. Did ya'll holler something other than "pull" before you fired off a round? Maybe that means something different in spanish and they got themselves offended.

Can't figure out why they whined about the bean bags though. They're the only thing that comfort me when my 'roids act up. Heck, we were never courteous enough to have specktator seating during our skeet surfing competitions.

Speaking of whin...uh, complaining, we better get this thread back on track. Besides, we need something to talk about when we meet up in Orlando in Januworrie.

Heck, I forgot what the original thread was about. Ain't that how a dock conversation goes anyway? After a few drinks, who knows how it started. Then again, no one cares. Which reminds me, time for another Crown.

Hey, I just noticed, I'm a senior member. Does that mean I'm really old (which I am) or do I get a discount at Denny's?
