The U.S. Coast Guard air search of boat wreckage off Jacksonville had to be canceled Monday morning due to weather.

Lightning grounded the aircraft, but two 87-foot cutters and a response boat are searching, said Coast Guard spokesman Lauren Jorgensen.

One man's body was found near the wreckage but no other possible passengers have been located. Jorgensen said they don't know if anyone else was aboard. She said they also have not found any identifying markings in the debris around the boat.

"We don't know how long the boat is or where it came from," Jorgensen said. She said aircraft searched through the night until they were grounded by inclement weather conditions.

The Coast Guard is asking for the public’s help identifying a boat’s wreckage.

The debris field from the wreckage was found by a Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission reseach team searching for right whales 22 miles east of the mouth of the St. Johns River about 6 p.m.

The U.S. Coast Guard joined the search and later located the body of the man, whose identity has not been released.

Jorgensen said 10 other life jackets were found in the water, but it's not uncommon that boats carry more life preservers than people onboard.

The Coast Guard is bringing in additional resources to assist in the search that will continue Monday morning.

Anyone with information can contact the Coast Guard at (904) 564-7511.

Looking at the pics looks to be a Hatt by the foredeck hatches. First pic is the cabin top and bridge floor.. you can see the seat stantion mounts and the outline of the seating area. I'd say it looks like it was rundown by a big ship.
