Turbo sticky

One of my turbos 8 71 is hard to turn over by hand
I am taking it off the engine but the exhaust side is very hard to
separate, so I soaked the joint in wd 40 and will resume
work tomorrow. I am hopeing the exhaust is coaked up and
will clean up. Am I on the right track?

If it is "coked up", you should have a look at the cylinders on that bank for the cause. That Carbon, or coke, is likely unburnt fuel that has built up and is now running interferance with the trubo.
