Does anybody happen to know the Detroit or Garrett p/n for a turbo on a 671ti 485hp.

call jim he will get you in the right direction. good luck

are u sure you have 671 TIs at 485hp?

Im pretty sure TIBs are 485 hp

TIBs and TIs have different turbos

Workingonadream, Jim has my turbo and is going to get one but he said he has been getting long lead times lately. As you know he is very busy and hard to get a hold of so I was just going to see if I could find it online somewhere. I forgot to ask him for the part# before he left the boat. Yes, my mistake they are 671tib's.

when you get the number from him go online and google diesel specialists in baton rouge la. I had good luck with them when I bought parts. jim goes crazy waiting for parts from atlantic, the lead times are horrible. I just saw him this morning, if I got your post last night, I would have gotten the number for you. he was hitting the road early today. good luck

Message sent to Scrod, Thanks Guys

Appreciate the endorsement guys, thanks. I would still need a part number off the turbo though.

Hi Guys, the DD part #R23503617 found Tri-state Turbo they can get me one in 3-4 days (make them in house) $1,900 with $475 core charge. I hope Jim can get me one because he gives me his price $1,200 from Atlantic DD.

$1200 from DD is unbelievably cheap. At that price I would buy 2 to have one as a spare.

1200, for a wet turbo? Might just be the cartridge, depending on the failure that might be OK.

JM

With the difference in price, it almost seems like a different turbo. Sure that's the same part number? Sounds almost like a 5103838 you were quoted.

Glory, I may be wrong but I've never seen a wet turbo on a 671.

The 485 TIB were wet turbos.

That's right. I haven't seen one in years, forgot all about that.
