Looking for a replacement, or a shop that could restore the plating and letting on our control. Thanks, Craig

Chrome will get you home.

Don't they still make the same switch Bennet trim tabs?

sorry for this reply but THE MAN IS LOOKING FOR HONEST HELP!

He is berthed right next door to me. Everything he does is around chrome. So now don't you feel silly.

Feel silly? I'd feel a bit silly if I changed out every single screw, nut and bolt on my boat - oh by the way, they're all polished stainless steel. Now THAT would make me feel silly!

sorry i misunderstood the post I thought he wanted the back ground not just the switch or controller head. Go to the bennett web site and get a new one

That switch is NLA. I found an old still in the box sitting on a shelf in a small boat shop in Key Largo.

I replaced that switch on our boat several years ago when replacements were available. While switch looked the same, the contact configuration on the replacement switch was different from the original '60s vintage switch. A little time with an ohm meter and it was possible to rewire it. The lesson, if you find a replacement compare the contact configuration with the old switch before you install it.

If you can't find a replacement, install new rocker switches instead.
