transom shower

I would like to convert the water fill on the transom to an outlet or shower control. My boat is a 1971 43DC, does anyone know where the check valve would be located. There is also another inlet on the starboard next to the shore power connection.

Is that a custom installation? There is no transome water fitting on our 1980 43' DC. Ourt check valve is in the stbd side aft engine room.

The 1972 43DC has no transom inlets and the water pressure regulator/check valve is located just inside the water inlet in the electrical group. I ASSUME that if you took out the check valve that must be in the transom inlet and put a shower head and shutoff etc. that it would work but you need to look at the way the change was made. Not a bad idea i guess.
