Transmission oil filter

I have the original remote transmission oil filters on my 53
I cannot see how to open the canisters (which are weeping a little)There is no bolt on the top as with the engine filters

There should be a bolt on the bottom of the canister to secure it. Try tightening that, it has to be pretty tight to seal. Don’t mistake the smaller drain plug slightly offset from the center with the securing bolt.
