Any ideas on reconditioning the pitted chrome towel bar brackets, about 9 of em all told (9 pairs), without breaking the bank. Sams was good enough to have some fabricated in China, but they are stainless and at $81 per pair it'd cost a whopping $730 for towel bar brackets !!! Can the existing ones be de-pitted (filled somehow) and replated?

Here's a nice blurry pic from my iphone.

Sort of sniffed this online and I'm wondering if 'chrome' powder-coating is a reasonable option. Anybody have any experience with that? Seems actual rechroming involves a 'soft' copper plating first to fill the pits then final chroming = labor intensive = $$$

Why not buy new SS pipe and grab rail ends and replace it all?

I just redid the head with one of those sets from home cheapo.. Not OEM but they look a lot better actually!

IMHO
