Tow it or davit to the deck?

I have decided we 'need" one of these for a dinghy and the wife finally agrees.

I just can't decide whether we should tow it behind or put it on the deck.

They said we could customize it so we've decided Great White Grey for the exterior. We're leaning towards Mississippi Sound Brown for the inside.

That looks like great fun! Paint it to look like a Great White on the outside and chase the Jet Ski/Waverunner crowd with it. A sure way to keep them a reasonable distance from the boat.

And if you're going to tow it, obviously you need the tow line to be fed from a large fishing pole on the towing vessel...

I'm not sure if my 55 year old bones could handle that.

I doubt you could tow it, just incase that is a serious question?

I'm not serious about it,

I just couldn't help but imagine the look on peoples faces as it was towed or riding on the deck painted like a great white.

I love the idea of a tall rod attached to the tow line.

Most of the boats that take one of those along are significantly larger than any of our boats. They use a davit to launch and retrieve, and they secure it in a "toy garage" below decks, out of site.

Honestly, I think that it might be fun for the first 10 minutes or so but once the novelty wears off and you have finished taking all of your guests that are willing to go for for a ride it would get old real quick. Those jumping and leaping maneuvers would surely beat the hell out of you!

I was thinking the same thing. That, and shouldn't these people be wearing a helmet?

$65-$85K depending on options. Didn't see a helmet among the options.

I bet insurance would be expensive. Although at $65Gs, the budget is different than mine.
