I'm going to clean and revarnish the aframosia. A woodworker recommended I clean it up with lacquer thinner. I've tried that and it cleans it and really looks good wet. However there seems to be a few areas that have mildew on them that the thinner doesn't touch.
So got any ideas?
I tried some tongue oil then lightly 320 sand then another coat. But the whiteish areas reappear. Is that the oil just getting soaked up?
The wood is in realatively good shape only hasn't been cleaned and revanished in at least 10 years.
