anybody know what ever happened to the boat that tom slane was building ?

I don't think it was ever finished

A video popped up somewhere recently about the 62 nearing completion and being sent down to the coast, just tried to find it without success.
Geez, I sure do miss being able to give Tom a call.

Tom was all in using pods instead of traditional shafts and props which I thought would hold sales back in the long run because they would never be accepted in the sportfish community, which ended up being correct.
For me the great lines are hindered with the black hardtop tubing and outriggers.
Sucks that he never got to see it run.

Slane claimed some pretty optimistic speed/fuel burn.
