Just got back from a trip to Lowes and WM for some boat work stuff and was proud to find a few things made in the US, ie plastic containers, hole saw and a ladder. Some things I could not find a designation and some, China is the only source. It makes me feel a little bit better, but it is a scavenger hunt and time consumer.
What happened to the big origin labels? Is there anything that can be done to at least encourage vendors to mark the US stuff for those willing to pay extra? I'm told that we have a 5 year plan that will double our exports, but in the mean time. . .
I intend to send a message to the stores, but suspect my sentiments will have little effect.
Thoughts, suggestions?
Vincent
ps. Hope this inquiry is apolitical and not offensive.
