  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
Not Currently A Hatteras Owner
The wife & I called last week to see if the Marina at the Wharf was still open after the development went into foreclosure.

Imagine our surprise, when Beverly, answered the phone and asked me to quench the false rumor.

Well, Here we are at the WHARF, through New Years, then on to Port St. Joe (which happens to be run by the same management company)

Prices are reasonable for the great docks. The location is perfect too for Great Loopers.

I did a few fishing tournaments there and loved the place and the staff. One of the nicest places in the area. Glad to hear they are still around.

Beverly did a post here that they were still open just a few days ago.

It even had her picture BUT or moderators deleted it even though many Hatt owners here seem to go there. It was a short simple message not like your normal Spam.

The Wharf Marina never closed, they never skipped a beat. There was a short few days during the transition from the developer to bank ownership/management company where there was no fuel or goods in the marina store, but that was back in September while I was still there.

For the most part, it has been business as usual just with different management. The best thing they ever did was to keep Beverly on and put her in charge of the Marina. These big high dollar developments usually do go into foreclosure a few times before they ever become profitable. It's all part of the game.

We've spent the better part of the last three summers at the Wharf. It is a wonderful development that has more to offer than most other resorts on the entire Gulf Coast. I can't wait to get back that way (and beyond) soon.

I went their to Gulf Coast Hatteras when I was looking at Alb's, nice digs but I can see why its a flop. Couldn't pick a worst place for that kind of development. Plus Im still bitter over the $12 Margarita I enjoyed there. :D

Where did you find a $12 Margarita?
We've been here several days and to many of the food places. I've found them very reasonable.

I deleted it - the forum's rules prohibit commercial advertising without explicit permission from Sams. I like The Wharf but I have to enforce the rules evenly.

And I'm glad it's still open!

When your looking at the Wharf from the ICW its the bar a couple doors left of the boat brokerage.
