Thank you Tom Slane for Irene suggestion

For all of you Hatteras owners, I want to fill you in on a nice call I received from Tom yesterday morning prior to Irene hitting NJ. Several years ago, I purchased hull vents and cockpit tackle center and freezer from Tom. I was very pleased with all that he did for me. Yesterday morning I got a call from Tom making a suggestion for me, since I was keeping my boat in the water, to plug up the exhaust system so that wind and water would not blow up the exhaust pipes and into the heads of my C-12's.
A very thoughtful call from a terrific man who on his own, called many customers to offer some advise.

Thank you Tom. You are one of the best people in the industry.

Tom made several calls and lined up a slip for us in Myrtle Beach. We were headed for Morehead City NC and would have been right in the thick of it. While I was cruising north he was making calls checking on slips and possible haul outs for us. I don't know of anyone else who would take the time to help others the way Tom does. He truly is unique.
