Hatteras Model
53' CONVERTIBLE (1969 - 1980)
The wonders of technology,....The picture (you can see my wife with the pans on her hands, we never cook inside) taken a few minutes ago, with the same phone I am using as a modem in the same laptop I use to connect the GPS and navigate, and that right now is serving me to reach the forum and post. I don't know for you guys in the land of Moon and Mars goers but for me this is pure scifi.
It is sort of a bland day that affected us both, so we took it easy. I did not go to fish, but had my coffe and rum, and the Admiral made perico..(scrambled eggs, with finely chopped tomato, onion, green an red peppers and cilantro.), and on side we had black beens, fresh white goat cheese, and sort of corn muffins we call arepas. And coffe and milk. And yes I watched the opening race of the F1, slept half of it, just to see that Kimi had won....Grrrrr!!...I hate him!
For those of you that are lucky enough to be onboard,..GOOD MORNING lucky ones.
For those of you who are not...eat your hearts out and be green, of jelousy, envy or whatever..LOL

I am sitting here on the boat with a cellular modem enjoying the high tech too but my day is not an easy as yous.

I woke up with a bit of a headache and cant find 3/4 of the Vodka that was in the bottle I bought last night. I did look and now have made some cuban coffee to help get motivated to clean up the rest of the boat so the whife can come down next weekend and enjoy the boat while I work.

Still is great to wake up on your boat and enjoy the day.

Well the Tech end is Great but I guess it can be BAD too.
That is because reading this Stuff you Guys are KILLING ME!!!
Boat still on the Hard, ground cover with white stuff!!!!
Go ahead rub it in you been doing it all winter :p

Still is great to wake up on your boat and enjoy the day.

Soon Soon I too will be saying that

OK, now that you have shown us your morning, how about a nice sunset picture to really make us jealous. It is 50 degrees and windy, and the boat is on the hard. Dang. Hey Miguel, is it safe for americans to visit? :D

I REALLY like that enclosed (75%) bridge..... :)

Sunsets....ahhhh, but that is the best feature of my slip! I get sunsets like this just about EVERY evening, except during heavy cloud cover. They are spectacular!

Wow, all I can say is BEAUTIFUL!!! Can't wait to be there too!!! :D

Sanctuary much for the photo, Ang.

When Ed is here, he is adamant about stopping whatever boat project we are doing to go sit out on the bow for the sunset. You never know how many more of those you're going to get. They are so spectacular from here, that I try to email them to him every day (though, admittedly, I've not been on top of that lately.) :)

That doesn't suck! :D

I just came home and found your answers, sorry guys I didn't intend to rub on you my well being,...well not much...He he he....
Ok I will post a sunset, it is not from today but it is nice the same...my neighbor, bowrail showing, is a Carver,...nice owner though...
The other picture is after the sunset, and shows the Captn and the ADMIRAL

Angela your picture is beautiful.

Chris, of course you can come!...just say when!

For those of you with the boat on the hard, I have a question...some of the photos I have seen look as if they are home backyards,... do you have the means to take your boat home?... it is winter for some of you but it sure gives you the chance to work in the boat everyday...weekends are so short...I hope I could do that,...many things that need to be fixed would be ready by sprigtime.
Hey..guess what!...I almost forgot,...yesterday night, we were walking the docks with my wife, it is real quite and calm after 8 or 9, and we saw a saltwater croc!..about 5' long. I thoght they were extint in this area. They are very rare...Well, today I intended to check my mooring buoy, but I don't know, somehow I felt,...uneasy, not to say scared ****less.
Buoy went unchecked..
Miguel

Life is short, enjoy it while you can. I was stationed in the Canal Zone in Panama' and I used to watch the cruise ships coming through the locks. The people I saw on them were not the young hard bodies like you see on TV, but were old people at the end of their lives. I made myself a promise that I would try to enjoy things while I have age and health on my side. If I wind up eating alpo in my old age, I will just close my eyes and remember the many a fine dry aged steaks I enjoyed along the way. LOL The only real time we have is the present. Count your blessings, and lift a toast to the rest of us!

When we vacationed in the caribbean, we couldn't get over how close all the stars looked and how many shooting stars we would see each night. Some of my best memories were just sitting on the deck watching all those shooting stars. When we lived in NJ, we were close to busy cities that had "night lights" and all that pollution that seemed to blurr out the stars shining. .

Chris, I have said it so many times....

Enjoy your days...it is later than you think.

I bought that boat at 65, and my wife and me are in reasonably good shape, and definitly in good health so I hope we will sing many more Happy Birthdays aboard that boat...and may you all witness it, too.

Having a winter to do all the projects so you done in the Spring sounds like a Good plan!!!
But usally does not work out that way  At least in my case I tend to rip stuff out then spend Months putting it back together so Spring time I still have a ton of work  . Then you get the Winter when it just to COLD and nasty out you stay inside. So enjoy your weather and send some of it up here and while your at it send some of that cheap diesel fuel also :D
Nice pictures and Nice Boat Enjoy!!!!!

That happened to you too? I'm telling you, it's aliens. It can't be a coincidence.

I went through a similar 'epiphany' moving from NJ, to the woods of NC. I simply could not believe how many stars there were in the sky.

Not sure if this is going to work. My first attempt with Photobucket.
