Recently my original swim platform sustained some damage. I’m looking to secure some teak and make the repair. I’m looking for options on best practices to make the repair. I would imagine back in 1975 when it was constructed, they didn’t use any epoxy when constructing it. My thought was use a bedding compound when attaching with screws. Back in my days working at the Hacker Craft company I remember building a mahogany swim platform with the use of WEST system. Not a big fan of epoxy and wood that expands/contracts. Thoughts?

Mine has long all thread through every piece on teak from from to back. If the planks come loose I just tighten the nuts to strengthen it.
