About 3 years ago, I used Silkens Cetol to finish the teak in my cockpit. I didn't like the orangey look but the teak maintance was killing me. Anyone have any current products they like and have had good success with in terms of durability?

Look at Bristol Finish @ bristolfinish.com

All of these products for the teak decks are varnish based, just like the household items such as Thompson Water seal for your decks.

This stuff will wear off and in the marine enviroment, requires constant maintinance.

Once your teak decking becomes black, you need to remove that mold and mildew with an acid wash, or just sand it down new.

Many people just going natural because it is so much easier to maintain. To do this, mix 1 part clorox with 9 parts water and use a good stiff brush and clean the teak at least every other week.

It will weather nicely this way without the black mildew build-up
