Hatteras Model
53' MOTOR YACHT (1969 - 1988)
We may be permanently moving our 53 Classic to the Tampa Bay area this spring, but I'm having a hard time finding available 60 foot slips.
Does anyone have ideas where to look?
We're also searching canal houses on the market, but it doesn't seem like there's enough water in the canals for a big boat.
Please Any help is greatly appreciated.
Pat

Maximo in St Pete has some covered slips avail. I think Marine max [ the old Great American] has some also. Pasadena Yacht and Country club might have some also.
Some canals are shallow, but many are plenty deep for the 53. Look around.
There are a number of houses for sale in my neighborhood for sale with deep water right inside Johns Pass.

Captddis,
Thanks for the knowledge.
I'm finding out I've got my work cut out for me. I'm an "Inlander" from way back, and need to get smart quick if I'm going to bring our boat out this way.
We've currently got the boat on a freshwater reservoir, with none of the usual coastal worries.
I understand real estate prices are somewhat depressed in the area, so I might just be able to find a decent home for our pride and joy. I've been spoiled with a prime location under cover, and 35 feet of water under the keel.
Thanks,
Pat
