Hello all,
Last season, my port engine, bridge tach went 'inoperative'.
All connections were checked by a mechanic, but nothing was found amiss. At launch this year, it came oddly back to life. Strange, but I am grateful to someone. (Perhaps a higher power).
Last week, my starboard bridge tach went for a holiday. All connections were removed, cleaned up and all reconnected. Here is what I see:
When I turn the ignition key on, the needle jumps and shows about 100. When I start the engine, it jumps to 200 and stays there.
Any thoughts as to why this is happening are certainly appreciated.
As well, does anyone know if these GM tachs are ‘adjustable’? I do note that my upper and lower tachs are out of synch by about 100 rpm; the lower ones reading a bit higher in both cases.
Thanks all,
Sailor John
