It's likely to be in line with the blower drive shaft tube on the back side of the bell housing over the transmission. With electrical tachs, you will see the sender with wire(s) attached.

If you don't have sychronizer, drive and sender most likely where Will said it is. With sychronizer, drive cable comes from same place to synchronizer and sender is on output side of sychronizer. At least this is how it is on my boat.
