Well, I just returned from Ft. Lauderdale. The boat is in the marina, but it was not without issues. about 175 miles into the trip on Friday, the tach cable broke that feeds the glendenning sychro from the slave engine. It will not stay plugged in the glendennning. I think the end of the cable is worn and keeps slipping out. It looks like the key holder for the end of the cable is toast.
Basically I need a new cable, and I dont know much about them. My mechanic was with us, and he said it looks just like the mechanical tach cables the navy used, but he was not sure where to get one. Do yall know if this is a glendenning part? or is this somehting Detroit should have?
I need to get one in a hurry since we are leaving for the Bahamas next saturday. Do you all know where or who to purchase one from. Thanks.
