superman and hatteras

i was watching the first superman movie this evening. the bad guys in one scene use a hatteras sportfish as their getaway vehicle. does anyone know what size/year the boat was?

I had commented on this in the "Favorite Movies" thread. Looked like a 45C to me. Couldn't tell you the year.

I thought it was funny that when he parked it in front of the police station he apparently found a cradle for it.

i didn't notice the cradle. i just figured superman was able to balance the boat on the keel.

I don't remember actually seeing a cradle either. So maybe he did balance it on the keel. But hey, that's why they call him SUPERman. IIRC the bilge pump was running too.

One of the earlier Miami Vice episodes ended with the bad guys leaving the docks on an old Hatt., looked like a 45 also.

i was watching the james bond film never say never the other night and they have a hatteras in that also. looked like a 53 yachtfish. burgandy stripes.
