Sun Tachometer Repair

The tachometer on my 1981 48 MY needs repair. It is a Sun Tach, circa 1981 or later. The paper 'dot' in the center of the gage is peeling away from the face and is preventing normal indicator needle movement. Does anyone know if these can be easily opened, or will it have to go to Lauderdale Speedo.Pic attached.

Bob, I think you should get rid of the boat and buy a new one......

Break open the glass. Fix the tape and then get the glass replaced.


I'm sure they open up but how is the question.
