Summer Fishing Downunder

The Black Marlin season has started on the Gold Coast. The young ones come South around October from the Far North. The fish get progressively bigger as the season gets underway.
Plus there are lots of Mahi-Mahi, Wahoo and Tuna to keep us all happy.

This is a small Black we had to bring on board because the hook was too deep in it's beak. We released it withing 3 minutes.

Mahi-Mahi.
A Christmas present to my nephew was his first deep sea fishing experience.
He was a keen angler before this, I am certain he will never forget this.

They get a LOT bigger!
Plus most the year we have Blue Marlin "out wide" which means far out, off the Continental shelf. I don't have a chair, yet, so I'll need one before we can chase those.
Fuel price has dropped a bit, but diesel is a rip off in Australia because we pay more at the marina than the motorways. Pay the same taxes too.
At the moment AU$1.49 which is US$1.16 per Litre.
So a gallon of Diesel costs US$5.66

Our fuel prices are just getting fair US 2.65 at the dock road fuel is 3,85 for diesel gas about 2.00. I just got to wait about 4 to 5 months for the fish to get back. Cold and nasty here now in North Carolina.
You must have a wife that cooks very well those boys sure have grown in the past 2 years. Look like nice young men. You are having the time of your life NOW enjoy them. Mine gone just wife and I. Always looking someone to go times past had to sneak off from home. Wish those days were back.
I talk to Jack S in New York on the phone once in a while he has two boys also he is always saysing the boys. They are a little younger than yours his day comming too.

You mentioned about a chair. Jarret bay has a surpluss dept it is Managed by Sunny Rains ,
I was there about 5 days ago and he had several chairs that were used. There were a few new ones there also. Jarret Bay purchases at oem original equipment manfacture prices. If he so desires he can beat about any price. He also had a Pair of teaser reels which are hard to find used.(pancake style with clicker). If you have a interest let me know i will take some picks and send them to you somehow.
In your messages you said you needed one or looking one if this will work for you let me know..
