  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
41' DOUBLE CABIN (1962 - 1965)
This isn't exactly a Hatteras post, but maybe someone here will find it useful. Maybe it belongs in the Parts for Sale section, but there is no "sale" involved.

I have a pair of Redwing size 9D steel toe-water proof-high top boots available to a good home at no cost. These boots sell for $300. I have had them for 6 years and worn them very little. Due to age the soles are disintegrating. This is pretty disappointing for a pair of $300 boots. Redwing assures me they will resole the boots for $100 because the uppers are in perfect condition.

I only have need of the boots occasionally, so if I resole them I will just repeat this disappointment. So, I'm either going to find them a new home or put them in the trash.

If anyone wants these boots I'll ship them on my nickel. Send me a PM or email - anderson@competitivepower.us

Lemme check the size of my redwing boots at home. I'm pretty sure they are 8.5 or 9. So I'll take them.

Send me the address you want them shipped to and they're yours.

I've sworn by wings since I started working when I was 16. I still have a set of pole climbers and a set of insulated kangaroo skin ones that are 30yo The vibram soles are worn but the rubber is still good. painfull to hear that the new ones dont last like they used to. Krush should def get them He's a good guy and his wife is serving.

Wait until you find out where you have to ship them.

Shipping has to be prioity mail :) It's ok, they'll fit in a flat rate box.

I try to only by red wings, but now they have stuff that is made in china. The traditional leather only boots with no padding on the inside are hard to find in stock. China stuff is junk. Work pays for boots, but on this island the stock isn't good.

I got a pair of timberland boots once and they sucked.

I did get these shoes the last two times and they are actually really nice, seem to hold up well, and steel toe. I just wear shoes most of the time now...boots only when doing real work or crawling through boilers.

Krush,

I got a flat rate box yesterday. All I need is the shipping address.

Krush - The boots are on their way. Thanks for what you and your wife are doing.
