Stainless/Chrome/Aluminium Aft Flag Staff

I am looking to replace my wooden(mahogany?) aft flag staff with a stainless or chrome or aluminum one. I think it is about 60"-70" long and fits in the socket on the aft end of my hardtop holding an American Flag that is probably about 60"x48". I want it to fit in the existing socket. Any ideas where to look?

Stick with the wooden one, it looks better, metal will look like the boat was made in China.

My only hesitancy on the wooden one is that it is the only exterior wood on the entire boat. It almost looks out of place.

You could always paint it to match the boat.

Call it an accent piece.

Hi All,

JLR, I think you should replace it and give me the mahogany one ;)

A 5 or 6 foot long piece of stainless? Better be hollow and thin wall or its going to have some serious weight to it. Will The flag staff socket support it? either way, we had a company make up stainless balustrade for us They made nice stuff. They were out of Virginia if I remember correctly Im sure they could weld up a nice cap for the stainless pipe and any attachment you wanted. PM me if you want the contact infostrada renovation completed pictures 063.webpstrada renovation completed pictures 061.webp

My flag and pennant staffs are the only wood on the exterior and I get many compliments and people asking where I got them.
