Wow! What a game. I sat in the corner of the lower level at Ford Field and I could not believe how much green was there. The State fans were loud, louder than any Final Four that I have ever attended.

I was also surprised at how nice it looked in downtown Detroit. They did a great job of cleaning it up down there. Even the beggers and panhandlers were gone for the most part.

With as much money as your family has paid to the University, you should have had complementary tickets

I did my undergrad at Miami University, but went to State for my MBA. My wife graduated from MSU as well.

You might remember our white concrete mixers on campus with the red and blue stars. We built many of the buildings there between 1960 and 1990. In fact, my summer job during one of the college years was working quality control when we supplied all of the concrete on the Breslin Center.

BTW, If you ever come to town for a football or basketball game, let me know. Maybe we can meet up to tailgate or for drinks or something.

I hope the team is ready for UNC. Go State!

The first 7 minutes of that game decided it. The two teams played about even after that, but MSU just could not get back into it. They came out and looked star stuck and confused. There were intimidated and took way too long to settle down.

Experience counts and Carolina had that. Most of the Spartans are young guys. Watch out next year as they will be the ones with the experience. Once you get a taste of what it's like to be playing for the championship, you want to get back there.

UNC has a very serious team...kudos to those guys for coming back. I think the young Spartans were out of gas, after beating the three #1 seeds. But again not to dis UNC...great team... and I am a Spartan...

How 'bout that UM v MSU football game?! That makes 2 years straight for Spartan victories. Football, basketball, it doesn't matter. Those Wolverines just can't compete.

Can't compete???? How can you say a team can't compete when, once again, they tied and went into overtime? What, just because it wasn't a TRIPLE overtime, this time, that you qualify that as being unable to compete? And, no, it's not often that MSU gets to gloat. The all time record for this match is still quite blue! As they said, the last time MSU beat UM two years in a row, Lyndon Johnson was in the White House...what does that tell you?
