It appears that the spammers have figured out how to reverse the hash that is used for the CAPTCHA on the forum registration.
This sucks severe bananas as it opens the forum to robotic attack.
I don't know if Doug has the forum set up to require validation of email addresses, but if not, he needs to turn that on..... that should at least help (although it won't totally fix it)

it is... like you i deleted a whole bunch.
personally, I dont' care much for the Report posts when it comes to spam... Mods come to the forum a few times a day so we'll see them anyway. had to delete about 20 report emails this morning...
if Karl and Jim agree, i'd like to sggest that the Report this post form be only used for what can be missed, like flaming, etc... no a blatant spam post.

It seems like the signup page is allowing the bots in. This is a problem with most forums. There is many ways to block this. Why not change a few rules so that the bots can not make it in. I used to own an ISP here in houston and currently own a hosting company we deal with this kinda stuff all the time.

Can all forum members be given the ability to delete threads from any other member who has a less than 2 posts to their name? This would allow us to self police the site and take some of the burden off the mods.
I see there is a new one on the site now complete with an imbedded picture. We need to find a fix.

I can't believe yall fell for that! You can't expect someone to give you $42 million, that's just silly!!!!! Now there's a sirian guy who's the real deal, he's offering $9.9 million, all i have to do is give him my bank account number, that's it!!!! Actually, it's $9,999,999- apparenlty there's some legal issues when you go over $10 mill. Anyone know of a 77' Enclosed Flybridge on the market????????
