Slowly putting the shiny parts back together

So now that we have the boat out of the shop I am trying to put all the hardware back on her. Going between buying new parts (many from SAMs) or having to refinish and re-chrome some. Just got my pilot house door handles back and now working on putting them together.

I think when we are done, we are just going to sit on the dock and look at her, not going to let anyone actually get on her.

Beautiful job. Every detail that is improved makes a big change to the overall appearance of the boat.
I have seen many boats that were repainted and came out fabulous except the old hardware was never
cleaned up. Needless to say the boat looked like an old boat with a new paint job. What many of our
HOFers are doing is basically the same as many car guys that restore vintage cars to as new. The fun
is seeing how every small step makes a difference (at least in our eyes). Keep us posted...

Sorry Robert, I checked the Harbor Freight sale paper and the sale is over, too bad. I will let you know when the next one starts, ha ha

Simmons Polishing in Hope Mills NC did the work for me. A nice guy that works out of the garage behind behind his house. If anyone needs his number let me know and I can send it to you. I believe it can be found on the internet. Prices seem very reasonable as I had 16 parts on the last order and it was 600.00 bucks.
