  1. OWNER - I own a Hatteras Yacht
Hatteras Model
58' LRC (1975 - 1981)
Sorry I am not a detail guy. . . . but we are back in the Chesapeake Bay on the Wye river.
The Summary of the trip:
We left Mid Sept. to Jerrett Bay for fix'en lots of stuff including a leaky stabilizer. First day out blow
out a hose on the same stabilizer we fixed. Got that done but were late cause of the Hurricane and Noreaster.
Cut the south run short to Charleston so we could get back to PA for the holidays.
Left Skooch at St. John Island Marine Charleston.
Picked up Skooch first of January and ran to Fort Pierce FL.
Stay a few days and left for Hatteras LRC Rendezvous in St. Petersburg Yacht club across the Okeechobee.
Stayed a few weeks then to Sarasota and few days. Then Fort Meyers Beach for two whole weeks at the same dock.
Back to Fort Pierce for a few days then headed north.
Lots of wind and lots of wind. Brunswick for fuel, Cumberland Island Island for a nice hike, Off
Shore to Hilton Head.
Our only run offshore due to winds.
Skooch's wind alarm is set at 35 knots. I went off at least once for 10 straight days. Several
times in protected anchorage. I had to turn it off a few times.
We pushed on thru the sounds and stayed anchored for several days hoping the winds would abate. Had a great 3-4
foot following sea up the bay from Norfolk to the Eastern Bay with a stop in the Solomons.
We'll stay in the Wye until Memorial Bay then find another spot.
Close to 3000 miles. Got 900 gallons in GA on the way down and 900 on the way up. We should
be good to CoinJock in the fall.
We met a lot of nice people on this trip. Hope we see them again.

Crew is back home at Chadds Ford PA tending the gardens.

Welcome home! You are well aheaad of Chateau de Mer. We plan to get started about mid May from Port St Lucie.
Amen to "lots of wind". It sure curtailed lots of activities here in SE FL.
