Simrad sutopilot in following seas.

My Simrad auto pilot works perfectly under all conditions except 2ft plus following seas where it makes the boat (a 43'DC) zig and zag like crazy. Has anyone been able to get theirs to control the boat better under such conditions?

Not sure what adjutment parameters you have available on the simrad, if you have a "sea state" adjust, crank it up, slow down the rudder setting a tad, and try upping the "rate of turn", that works on my Robertson A/P but it has limits and the faster you go, the worse it will get to control...

Go to the Simrad web site and download the owners manual. There is a "setup" section that will guide you step by step on your model A.P. for complete installation and setup. There is a section on making adjusatments for your exact question.

way to go Jin i just looked ther u correct. I thought i just came with aqll Simrad at no charge..
