Simrad AP 21 wanted

The AP 21 on my tower failed. Before I send it off to Rich Barnes to repair, I thought I would check here to see if anyone is selling one. There are no units on eBay. Still waiting to hear from Max in Florida. If I cannot get another, I have a spare AP 300x control head that would work. However, I am reluctant to cut a once inch diameter hole on my tower console to try to flush mount it. Also, I would need to get the gasket and Robnet connector to plug into the back of the unit to make it work if I go the AP 300x route. This is another example of an item I never use but would like to have working as all others items on the boat. Thanks.

Any inclination to sell that AP 300x head unit? if so, I'd like to talk to you about it.

As soon as I know that I have a suitable working AP 21 or facsimile thereof, I will touch base on the 300x. Needless to say, it will likely be a few weeks.
